This biennial publication reports on mortality of our pēpi, tamariki and rangatahi aged from 28 days to 24 years in Aotearoa/New Zealand, primarily for the period of 2015 – 2019. It also includes mortality reporting over more extended periods: 2002 – 2019 and 1980 – 2019.

Current Perinatal and Maternal Mortality Report

Please click below to access the 15th annual report on Perinatal and Maternal Mortality in Aotearoa New Zealand. This publication addresses both mortality of our māmā and of our pēpi aged up to 27 days old. More specifically, this report examines perinatal mortality from 2007 to 2020, maternal mortality from 2010 to 2020 and neonatal encephalopathy (NE) from 2010 to 2020.

MRAMS

MRAMS is the web-based Mortality Review Agent Management System designed for Te Tāhū Hauora – Health Quality & Safety Commission. MRAMS is used to appoint and manage mortality review agents of the National Mortality Review Committee (NMRC) of Aotearoa New Zealand.
